​11-26-2019: CalHR to Host Public Meeting of the statewide Merit Award Board on Wednesday, December 11, 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Merit Award Board will meet in Sacramento, California. Pursuant to California Insurance Code §10089.7, subdivision (j), the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act applies generally to meetings of the Board, and the meeting is open to the public—public participation, comments, and questions will be welcome for each agenda item.  All items are appropriate for action if the Governing Board wishes to take action.

Public Meeting

The public meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2019 in the Auditorium at the State Personnel Board, 801 Capitol Mall, Room 150, Sacramento, CA.  The public hearing will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will continue until 2:30 p.m.

Transition Management Services 

CalHR released a Request for Proposal (RFP), 700-19-01, on August 28, 2019, to obtain proposals for transition management services. The Agreements awarded through this RFP process will replace the current transition management service Agreements for the Savings Plus Program (Savings Plus), the State of California's approximately $15 billion 401(k) Thrift Plan and 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan.

CalHR intends to create a transition management services bench, and therefore, intends to enter into an Agreement with multiple transition management firms.

CalHR intends that the successful firm(s) will enter into an individual Agreement with CalHR for a five-year period beginning February 1, 2020, with the option to extend the Agreement for up to two (2) additional one-year periods.
