WHEREAS, the California Citizens Compensation Commission was established by the voters' passage of Proposition 112 on June 5, 1990; and
WHEREAS, Proposition 112 directs the Commission to establish the annual salary and the medical, dental, insurance and other similar benefits for the state's elected officers; and
WHEREAS, Proposition 112 directs the Commission to consider specified criteria in establishing these salaries and benefits, including the compensation received by other elected and appointed officials in California, and the judiciary; be it
RESOLVED, that effective December 7, 2010, the annual salaries and benefits for state officers shall be as follows:
The annual salaries for state officers shall be:
State officers shall continue to be eligible for health benefits under the Public Employees' Medical and Hospital Care Act. The State contributions towards monthly premiums shall be reduced twenty (20) percent from the amounts that are made for State employees who are designated managerial under Section 18801.1 of the Government Code.
State officers other than members of the Legislature shall continue to be eligible for the dental, vision, life insurance, and employee assistance programs that are provided to State employees who are designated managerial under section 18801.1 of the Government Code. The State contributions toward monthly premiums shall be reduced eighteen (18) percent from the plan year 2009 amounts that are made for these employees.
State Officers other than members of the Legislature shall continue to be eligible for legal services, flexible benefits, long-term care, long-term disability, and deferred compensation programs at their own expense. These programs have no state contribution and none shall be made for these state officers, except as authorized by the Commission.

Members of the Legislature shall continue to receive Per Diem at $141.86 per qualifying day which is an eighteen (18) percent reduction.
