The Financial Services Non-Traditional Apprenticeship Program provides state employees at participating departments with the instruction, training and expertise to qualify for the Accountant Trainee, Tax Auditor, and Tax Compliance Representative classification exams. The program is up to two years in duration and is comprised of on-the-job training (OJT) and college instruction. Apprentice’s OJT tasks can include evaluating financial documents to ensure compliance with appropriate guidelines and discussing financial rules and regulations with customers.
