Certain laws require the State of California, through the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR),
to collect specific demographic information of its workforce to ensure that the State of California, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, is meeting its efforts to recruit and retain a diverse workforce. Your department and CalHR are partnering to collect specific demographic information about all California state employees. The information collected in this one-time survey will be used to determine whether hiring practices are fair and equitable, and to gauge the success of efforts to recruit and retain a diverse workforce.
