CalHR released a Request for Proposal (RFP 700-16-04) on December 29, 2016 seeking bids for Trustee, Custodian, and Securities Lending Services for Savings Plus, the State of California's $11.6 billion defined contribution plan.
The trustee/custodian and securities lending provider awarded through this RFP process will be used to replace the current trustee/custodian and securities lending provider in the Savings Plus Program's (Savings Plus) Deferred Compensation Plan (IRC 457) and Thrift Plan (IRC 401(k)).
CalHR intends that the successful firm will enter into Agreement with CalHR for a five-year period beginning January 1, 2018 with the option to extend the Agreement for up to two additional one-year periods.
